Urgot Wild Rift Build Recommendation

Here are Item Build Recommendations that works on this champion and which are the best build for Urgot Wild Rift in this patch.

The Dreadnought

Black Cleaver Dead Man’s Plate Stoneplate Enchant Thornmail Spirit Visage Guardian Angel

In this Urgot Wild Rift, we recommend building him the following items. The Dreadnought will require enough armor and health in order to survive skirmishes as he will fight most of the time on the frontline; attack damage is also an important attribute in order to further increase the damage he can deal with his abilities. Items include Black Cleaver, Deadman, Thornmail, Amaranth Twinguard and Guardian Angel.

Noxian Juggernaut

Black Cleaver Death’s Dance Stoneplate Enchant Thornmail Spirit Visage Guardian Angel

Alternatively, you may opt for this Urgot Wild Rift build. You can add in the following items for better damage output and survivability. This allows him to deal damage during the midgame and help his team in winning teamfights.

Runes for Urgot in Wild Rift

Krayen Slayer is currently the best-in-slot keystone for Urgot. This further helps him in fighting even against tanks thanks to true damage given by this keystone. For his runes, you may opt for the following, depending on his needs, the matchup and compositions.

Brutal – Brutal further increases his early game advantage especially with Kraken Slayer due to the additional adaptive damage.

Triumph – For every champion takedown, Urgot restores a small percentage of his health.

Bone Plating – Bone Plating allows him to survive much longer in skirmishes given that he’s most likely to take most of the damage from the enemies.

Conditioning – Conditioning increases Urgot’s armor and resistance over time and makes him a lot tankier in the late game.

Demolish – For most baron laners, Demolish is a great pick as this enables him to take down towers more quickly and be able to get his core items as soon as possible.

Mastermind – Aside from being a baron laner, Urgot is a viable pick in the jungle. This makes Mastermind a good pick as it helps him in clearing jungle camps.

Spells

In our Urgot Wild Rift Guide, here are his best champion spells that you can equip on him.

Wild Rift Flash

Flash has always been a staple and a must have for almost all champions in League of Legends: Wild Rift. The ranged juggernaut is not an exception to this especially due to his lack of mobility. Equip Flash as one of your spells to make some insane plays,  escape tool, dodge abilities or catch up with your opponents.

Urgot can make use of Ignite during duels or skirmishes. You can accompany a good and well-timed Ignite along with your set of abilities to eliminate your opponents swiftly. Not only does it deal true damage but also reduces regeneration and healing of your opponents. This goes to say that this is also great for opponents who can self-heal like Dr. Mundo.

This Urgot Wild Rift guide suggests choosing skills in the following order: E > W > Q. But, you can choose E > Q > W in the beginning if you demand extra poke or range.

Being Urgot’s primary source of damage outside of his passive, it is best to max Purge (W). Next, max Disdain (E) to improve his survivability and engage potential. Lastly, max Corrosive Charge (Q).

Abilities

Infernal Chains

Urgot’s basic attacks and Purge periodically trigger blasts of flame from his legs, dealing (50/65/80/95%) Attack Damage + 2/3/4/5% target’s maximum Health (increase at level 1/5/9/13)

Infernal Chains

Fires an explosive charge at the target location, dealing physical damage and slowing enemies caught in the explosion.

Infernal Chains

Urgot slows himself while he unloads his weapon on nearby enemies. Prioritizes enemy champions Urgot has recently struck with other abilities and triggers Echoing Flames.

Infernal Chains

Urgot charges in a direction, shielding himself and trampling non-champion enemies. If he catches an enemy champion, he will stop and hurl them out of his way.

Infernal Chains

Urgot fires a chem-drill that impales the first enemy champion hit. If that champion falls below a health threshold, Urgot judges them weak and can execute them.

Abilities Analysis

Passive | Echoing Flames

Urgot has a total of six legs, and each time he performs basic attacks and Purge, one of them sets off flame bursts. Each of those has a separate cooldown and deals physical damage to any opponents in the area. When Urgot attacks, there will be an indicator around his body that will let you know which leg can set off Echoing Flames. Keep circling your opponent and moving around to avoid wasting your passive.

Wild Rift Urgot Echoing Flames

Q | Corrosive Charge

Corrosive Charge allows him to fire an explosive charge towards the target location. It deploys a smoke that deal physical damage and slows down their movement speed.

Wild Rift Urgot Corrosive Charge

W | Purge

Purge slows Urgot’s movement as he attacks adjacent foes with his weapon. However, it will prioritize enemies who have been hit by his previous attacks or abilities and activate Echoing Flames.

Wild Rift Urgot Purge

E | Disdain

Disdain charges towards a target direction, providing himself a shield and trampling a non-champion enemy. If he landed on a champion, it will stun them and throw them out of his path basically like Singed. Hurling them also allows you to trigger the shotgun/passive on the opposite side.

Wild Rift Urgot Disdain

R | Fear Beyond Death

Urgot throws out his chem-drill impaling the first enemy hit. When hit, Fear Beyond Death also reveals and slow them. You can recast Fear Beyond Death and do so automatically when it hits a certain health threshold. After recasting, Urgot launches his chain, and pulls them towards him. This renders them suppressed and untargetable for the rest of the duration. This also meant that the target cannot take damage from any source, even from your teammates. After getting pulled, the target is executed and fears nearby opponents away.

Urgot Early Game Guide

Urgot has a strong early game advantage thanks to his range advantage. This is mostly the case especially against baron lane champions with poor early game such as Nasus as he gets to bully them at early level. His range, shotguns and first ability allow him to do safe trades. And once Urgot gets access to all of his abilities, he can now simply eliminate or if not, put them at low health after going all-in.

Post-level 5, you may either join the group for objectives or splitpush especially if you are equipped with Hullbreaker.

Urgot Late Game Guide

It’s best for Urgot to stick with his team during the late game. He has plenty of things to offer which makes him ideal in teamfights. During late game, he will then be tanky enough to be in the front line while being able to dish out damage with his abilities. With his third ability, he can also peel for his carry or pick an opponent. You may also take advantage of the fear inflicted by Fear Beyond Death after killing one opponent during skirmishes.

Synergies

For our Urgot Wild Rift Guide, we highly recommend using him with the following champions as they synergize well with him.

Urgot is best paired with any jungle who can further increase his chances of winning the early phase and teamfights. One of these junglers is Nunu and Willump. Nunu and Willump can set up early ganks for Urgot with his “Biggest Snowball Ever!” Aside from these, both of these beefy tanks can play together in the front line, and make use of their abilities for the teams’ benefit.

Annie is a strong pick for Urgot whether he is a jungler or a baron laner. Not only can deal mage midlaner deal an insane amount of damage, but also setup teamfights with her ultimate. In the late game, Urgot somehow falls off and being a tank, his damage in the late game is not reliable. Hence, he’ll surely need a great champion to play with who can dish out damage and place crowd controls.

All Urgot Wild Rift Counter Champions

In this section, we’ll specifically show champions that can easily counter Urgot in Wild Rift.

Rammus is currently his hardest counter especially in the jungle. Basically any tank who can rush bramble vest or thornmail can easily counter Urgot. This includes Rammus, but he’s much worse. Aside from being tanky enough, Rammus’ Defensive Ball Curl further increases his armor and resistances, while being able to return some of the incoming damage to his enemies. While Rammus isn’t usually found in baron lane, he remains a threat in late game and in the jungle.

Wukong belongs to most bruisers who can destroy Urgot in the baron lane. He has the capability to survive most duels while being able to deal large damage to his opponents. A skilled Wukong can also bait most of your abilities using his clone, so one should also be mindful of his cooldown before going for all-ins.
