Twitch Wild Rift Build Recommendation

Here are Item Build Recommendations that works on this champion and which are the best build for Twitch Wild Rift in this patch.

What a rat!

Blade of the Ruined King Runaan’s Hurricane Quicksilver Enchant Infinity Edge Lord Dominik’s Regards [This item has been removed from WR] Bloodthirster

This Twitch Wild Rift Standard build consists of items granting attack speed, attack damage, physical vamp and crit. Runaan’s hurricane particularly is one of the best items to build on him especially if you’re going to pull a splitpushing Twitch as his wave clear gets a lot better. Also, this item build is effective against tanks thanks to the armor penetration from Lord Dominik’s Regards. As a substitute, you can also opt for Mortal Reminder if the enemy team has a lot of healing.

Sneaky sneaky

Blade of the Ruined King Infinity Edge Quicksilver Enchant Wit’s End Guardian Angel Phantom Dancer

For the second item build for Twitch Wild Rift brings plenty of damage to his opponent while providing a bit of defense for him. When he’s low enough, Twitch can gain a shield that can block lethal attacks that may otherwise cause him his death. Wit’s end also provides magic resistance on top of the attack damage and attack speed. Ultimately, Guardian Angel is a reliable item in the late game enabling him to go back into action after dying.

Runes for Twitch in Wild Rift

Twitch requires a lot of attack speed and that’s for sure. Having that said, Lethal Tempo is an excellent keystone for him. Lethal Tempo rewards champions with bonus attack speed per stack and at full stack.

Gathering Storm – Every 3 minutes, gain AD or AP.

Triumph – Takedowns restore health. Deal more damage to Low Health Champions.

Bone Plating – When taking damage from a champion, the current and next 3 champion abilities or attacks against you deal reduced damage.

Nullifying Orb – Gain a shield after casting your ultimate.

Hunter – Genius – Unique champion takedowns grant Ability Haste.

Sweet Tooth – Increases Honeyfruit healing effect, each fruit also provides bonus gold.

In our Twitch Wild Rift Guide, here are his best champion spells that you can equip on him.

Wild Rift Flash

Flash has always been a staple for champions no matter what their role is. Flash offers a great tool for escape, repositioning, and securing kills. Despite being a sneaky rat who is capable of making stealth plays, Twitch has zero mobility. This is a great threat for a marksman like him, as they are usually squishy and a prime target of most assassins.

Exhaust brings no direct protection like a shield or a heal to save you from a devastating hit. But what makes exhaust ideal as a summoner spell for squishy marksmen like Twitch is its ability to slow down opponents and decrease their damage output while affected. This is a great counter to bruisers and assassins particularly who are trying to take down Twitch.

Skill Order

In this Twitch Wild Rift guide, we recommend activating his basic abilities in this order Q > E > W or Q > W > E. However, you must max abilities in the E > Q > W order. Aside from stealth, the bonus attack speed from Ambush (Q) brings a lot to the table as you’ll be able to land more basic attacks over time, quickly stacking up your passive. This makes a lot of impact during the early phase of the game.

As for the skill order, third ability, Contaminate (E) should be prioritized as it is one of his main source of damage. Then, max Ambush (Q) before fully upgrading your second ability, Venom Cask (W).

Infernal Chains

Twitch’s basic attacks infect the target, dealing true damage each second

Infernal Chains

Twitch becomes Camouflaged for a short duration and gains Move Speed. When leaving Camouflage, Twitch gains Attack Speed for a short duration. When an enemy champion with Deadly Venom dies, Ambush’s cooldown is reset.

Infernal Chains

Twitch hurls a cask of venom that explodes in an area, slowing targets and applying deadly venom to the target.

Infernal Chains

Twitch wreaks further havoc on poisoned enemies with a blast of his vile diseases.

Infernal Chains

Twitch unleashes the full power of his crossbow, shooting bolts over a great distance that pierce all enemies caught in their path.

Abilities Analysis

Passive | Deadly Venom

Twitch’s on hit basic attack inflicts one stack of Venom lasting for 6 seconds. It refreshes for every application and can stack up to six times.

Q | Ambush

After casting his first ability, Twitch enters a camouflaged state after a 1-second delay. While it’s active, Twitch’s movement speed is increased. However, if he’s facing an enemy who cannot see him, he gains 30% movement speed instead. Once stealth is broken, Twitch gains bonus attack speed.

Twitch Wild Rift Ambush

If the enemy affected by Deadly Venom dies, Ambush’s cooldown will reset allowing you to use it to reposition or move out of combat.

Twitch’s presence can be revealed by Control wards or any abilities with True Sight.

W | Venom Cask

Twitch throws a cask of venom that explodes upon impact, damaging and slowing all enemies in the area. Venom Cask also grant sight of the area, hence you can also use venom cask to check if there’s anyone hiding inside bushes or beyond a wall.

Twitch Wild Rift Venom Cask

Enemies caught inside the Venom Cask becomes contaminated, inflicting stack of Deadly Venom for each second while slowing them.

E | Contaminate

Twitch detonates his passive “Deadly Venom” on all nearby enemies, dealing damage to each target based on the number of stacks they have. Each stack of poison increases the damage of Contaminate, up to a maximum of 6 stacks.

Twitch Wild Rift Contaminate

There must be an enemy affected by Deadly Venom nearby to be able to activate Contaminate.

R | Spray and Pray

Twitch’s ultimate ability is indeed a spray and pray. Twitch gains a large amount of bonus attack damage and gains bonus range on his basic attacks for a few seconds. His basic attacks also pierce through all enemies in their path, dealing damage to all targets in a line. This makes an excellent tool to use during teamfights when the entire enemy team is clumped as you’ll be able to hit more than one enemy at the same time.

Twitch Early Game Guide

Much like the usual marksmen or ADC, Twitch must play safe in the early phase of the game and focus on farming. Twitch though has decent poke thanks to his Contaminate and Venom Cask.

However, try to safely look for trades  and if opportunity arises like a gank or enemy misplays, take it.

Post-level 5, stick with your support and continue farming to quickly get your core items. When objectives are up, join your team and remember to be mindful of your position during skirmishes.

Twitch Late Game Guide

Twitch without a doubt is a late game menace. Having that said, he will become a major target and a priority. Do not stay away from your allies and refrain from isolating yourself from them.

During teamfights, make use of the bonus attack speed after coming out of stealth along with your ultimate. Position yourself in a way that your ultimate; extended and piercing shots will hit multiple opponents in a line to make the most out of it.

For our Twitch Wild Rift Guide, we highly recommend using him with the following champions as they synergize well with him.

Twitch benefits from support who can keep their opponents in place by the use of crowd control abilities. Let’s have Braum as an example. Braum is one of the most ideal support for Twitch due to several reasons. Braum is a tank support who can tank all the damage for Twitch, he can peel through his ultimate and passive, he can bring up his shield to protect his ADC and ultimately, his ultimate blends well with Twitch’s ultimate allowing him to hit from a safe position.

If you’re looking for an enchanter, Nami is a great option. Nami offers an insane amount of healing, movement speed and a boost in attack speed with her utility which will not only help Twitch survive, but also boost his damage output. But the best part in Nami’s kit is her AOE crowd control that will surely prevent enemies from fleeing or going after her ADC.

All Twitch Wild Rift Counter Champions

In this section, we’ll specifically show champions that can easily counter Twitch in Wild Rift.

You may want to consider banning or avoiding Caitlyn when playing Twitch. What makes Caitlyn a threat to Twitch is her being capable of being a lane bully. The Piltover Sheriff has higher attack range than Twitch giving her the advantage. Caitlyn’s traps and net can also make it difficult for Twitch to get close and deal damage.

Leona is a bot-lane menace especially for Twitch. While Twitch can boost his movement speed and become invisible with Ambush (Q), other than that, he doesn’t have anything in his kit to dodge Leona’s abilities. Under the right hands, Leona can easily take down Twitch along with her allies with the help of her perma-stun and perma-root skill chains.

Pros & Cons About Twitch

Here are some pros and cons if you are playing with Twitch in Wild Rift.

  • Twitch has the ability to position himself while under stealth with the use of Ambush.
  • Due to the same reason, this makes Twitch a good jungler as well as he can execute ganks and surprise enemies as soon as he becomes visible again.
  • High attack range and AOE attacks from his abilities and ultimate.
  • Early poke is pretty decent with Contaminate and Venom Cask.

  • As a marksman, Twitch is quite squishy making it easy for everyone to counter him by bursting him down or applying crowd controls.
  • His ability to go invisible and use it for his advantage can be granted by True Sight or control wards.
  • Lack of mobility and self-peel.
