Samira Wild Rift Build Recommendation

Here are Item Build Recommendations that works on this champion and which are the best build for Samira Wild Rift in this patch.

Stylish Desert Rose

Stormrazor Infinity Edge Quicksilver Enchant Phantom Dancer Bloodthirster Guardian Angel

These are the recommended items for Wild Rift Samira that includes critical and lifesteal items to amplify her damage.

  • wild rift immortal shieldbow Immortal Shieldbow: Immortal Shieldbow increases attack damage, critical rate, attack speed and adds physical vamp to champions. Similarly, it gives additional survivability to Samira whenever her health points plummet to 35% by having a shield.
  • Infinity Edge: Infinity edge is a must-have item for champions that relies on crit. This item further enhances Samira’s damage output as each shots from Inferno Trigger can critically strike.
  • Quicksilver Enchant: Quicksilver Enchant abolish any crowd control effect aside from knockup. It is easier to run her down after getting immobilized if she is in her melee range, hence she will need an item like Quicksiver Enchant to escape out of it.
  • Phantom Dancer: Phantom Dancer generally contributes to Samira’s critical rate and attack speed. On top of it, it also lowers the chance of her dying from several abilities with PD’s passive, Lifeline. Lifeline provides a shield after receiving damage that puts you under 35% of your HP.
  • Bloodthirster: Samira’s abilities applies lifesteal, allowing her to heal for every damage dealt. This makes Bloodthirster a good item for her, as it boosts her attack damage, critical rate and adds a percentage of lifesteal.
  • Guardian Angel: Unlike the standard marksman in the game, Samira excels at engaging into teamfights with her Wild Rush, maneuvering inside skirmishes in stylish manner with her ranged and melee abilities. This also puts her life at risk, so it’s recommended to use Guardian Angel that resurrects champions.

Daredevil Rush

Infinity Edge Phantom Dancer Stasis Enchant Bloodthirster Death’s Dance Mortal Reminder

Another build that you may consider for Samira  in Wild Rift includes these items focusing on crit and physical vamp/life steal.

  • Stasis Enchant: Especially if you are fed enough, some opponents may want to assassinate you for as long as they can. In order to survive these situations, activate this enchantment to put you under stasis.
  • Death’s Dance: Samira can switch from a gun to a sword. If she’s in melee form, she will have to stay near her opponents to deal damage. Inevitably, she is more susceptible to damage at this point. Hence, it’s good to purchase Death’s Dance for additional damage, armor and ability haste.
  • Mortal Reminder: Mortal Reminder is a good item especially against champions that can heal or self-heal like Dr. Mundo, Soraka and Yuumi as it applies Grievous Wounds, reducing incoming healing. It also grants armor penetration necessary in taking down tanky opponents.

Runes for Samira in Wild Rift

Samira’s keystones and runes should contribute and focus on improving her damage as a carry and sustain her as she is a squishy champion that dives into opponents. Here are the list of runes to complement our Wild Rift Samira build that you may equip to fully maximize her potential.

Conqueror: Stringing different attacks and abilities is Samira’s bread and butter, making Conqueror as the best keystone for Samira. As she work her way towards stacking up her style to S, she is simultaneously gaining stacks of Conqueror. At maximum stacks, it gives bonus physical/magic vamp against other champions.

Fleet Footwork: Fleet Footworks presents itself as a good alternative in bad matchups mainly for sustain. Similarly, it heals and boosts her movement speed at max stacks.

Triumph: Aside from Wild Rush cooldown reset, Samira can restore her health with Triumph after champion takedown which somehow ensures her survivability in a teamfight. Furthermore, it also allows you to deal more damage to greatly severed enemies.

Nullifying orb: Samira has no other utility or self-peeling ability that can protect her aside from Blade Whirl. Unfortunately, it has a long cooldown. Luckily, Samira can equip Nullifying Orb to obtain a shield after receiving damage while she’s low on health.

Genius: For every unique champion takedown, Samira receives 3 ability haste that can reach up to 15. Ability haste directly affects cooldown reduction, and allows Samira to cast her abilities more frequently.

Spells

These are the best spells that must be equipped for Samira in Wild Rift.

Wild Rift Flash

Samira may have a dash that she can utilize towards her enemies and allies, but Wild Rush alone does not guarantee her safety. After all, Samira is squishy and would still need the help of Flash to escape risky situations. Moreover, Flash is an essential tool to catch enemies who are trying to get away from your grasp, or to close the gap allowing you to switch from ranged to melee.

Exhaust slows down opponents by a percentage, decreasing their movement speed to lower the chance for them to be able to retreat. Simultaneously, it also reduces the damage dealt of the target enemy. This effect contributes to the 1v5 potential of Samira. Other alternative options include Barrier and Heal as both of these provide extra protection to Samira by shielding and restoring her health.

For our Wild Rift Samira Guide, we recommend to upgrade Inferno Trigger as soon as possible, and when it’s available for better damage output. For her other abilities, it is best to maximize 1st ability, Flair first as it will be her greatest source of damage aside from her ultimate. This will increase its damage and further decrease its cooldown, allowing Samira to cast it more often. Next to Flair, 3rd ability, Wild Rush should be the priority to lower the cooldown of her dash giving her the opportunity to surprise enemies with a blink and switch to melee range at will. 2nd ability, Blade Whirl can be a good option next to Flair only if there are multiple source of crowd control abilities that pose threats to your safety as upgrading it solves the problem with its long cooldown.

Abilities

Infernal Chains

Samira builds a combo by dealing damage with attacks or abilities against enemy champions unique from the previous one. Each one increases her Style from “E” to “S” grade (6 total). Samira gains 3.5% movement speed per grade.

Samira’s attacks and abilities in melee range deal an additional 25 magic damage (14+9.5% attack damage) increased to 49 magic damage (28 + 19 attack damage) based on the target’s missing health.

Samira’s attacks against enemies affected by immobilizing effects will dash her to her attack range. If the enemy is knocked up, she also keeps them knocked up for at least 0.5 seconds.

Infernal Chains

Samira fires a shot, dealing 85 physical damage (5 + 75% attack damage) to the first enemy hit.

If this ability is cast towards an enemy in melee range, Samira will instead slash with her blade in a cone instead, dealing the same damage to all enemies within.

Either hit can critically strike for 25% bonus damage.

If cast during Wild Rush, Samira will strike all enemies in her path upon completion.

Infernal Chains

Samira slashes around her for 0.75 seconds, damaging enemies twice for 20 physical damage (20 + 80% bonus attack damage) each and destroying any enemy missiles that enter the area.

Infernal Chains

Samira dashes through an enemy (including structures) slashing enemies she passes through dealing 45 magic damage (45 + 205 bonus damage) and gaining 25% attack speed for 3 seconds.

If Samira scores a takedown, Wild Rush’s cooldown is reset.

Tapping this ability mid-dash will cast Flair.

Infernal Chains

Samira can only use this ability if her current Style rating is S.

Samira unleashes a torrent of shots from her weapons, reducing her Movement Speed by 30% while wildly shooting up to 5 enemies around her 10 times over 2.23 seconds, each shot dealing 58 physical damage (5 + 50% attack damage). Each shot can critically strike.

Deals 25% damage to minions.

Abilities Analysis

Innate Passive | Daredevil Impulse

A stack of Style can be gained from inflicting non-repeating attacks and abilities and can stack for up to six times, that lasts for 6 seconds. Style starts from E and will increase towards S after subsequent hits. It is important to note that a unique attack is necessary to increase your stack of Style, implying that normal attacks after the first one, hitting a champion with the same ability, or summoner spells will not grant you a stack.

Wild Rift Samira Daredevil Rush

Samira also has another passive that enables her to extend the crowd control effects for a few seconds administered by her allies through a single basic attack. Similarly, Samira can trigger a knock-up effect on an enemy if they are previously airborne. In addition to this, if Samira is close to an enemy, she will move and dash into attack range, provided that there is no terrain or obstacle in between.

Wild Rift Samira Daredevil Rush

Samira switches from a gun to a sword, turning to a melee champion if she’s near an enemy. Her melee attacks deals bonus magic damage based on the target’s missing health.

Q | Flair

Flair can be utilized in three different situations. Samira fires a skillshot towards the enemy direction, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit. If she’s in melee range, she will instead release a cone slash in front of her. Lastly, activating Flair in between Wild Rush drops off explosives that detonate and damages enemies on her path.

Wild Rift Samira Flair

Ranged Flair can be used to poke enemies from a safe distance as the range is significantly longer than your basic attack. Maximize its damage by AA > Q > AA combo.

The range of her melee Flair on the other hand may be short but it can damage multiple enemies and can become harder to dodge. This can also be used to damage opponents in between farming, or in clearing minion waves.

W | Blade Whirl

Samira spins her blade, creating a circular area-of-effect damage around her that works the same way with Yasuo’s Windwall and Braum’s Unbreakable as it revokes incoming hostile projectiles. It will then be followed with another slash, inflicting the same damage and effect. With one ability, Samira can obtain two stacks of Style as it consists of two separate attacks.

Her high mobility makes it difficult for her enemies to slaughter her, but Blade Whirl makes it harder. Samira can nullify most crowd control abilities and snares with ease if she manages to cast it on the right time. Because of this, her opponents must take extra steps to successfully land a projectile on her in high hopes of crushing her.

Hence, it is important to prioritize blocking off abilities that may otherwise bring you your own death. Before engaging in a teamfight, take note of champions that may come after you and abilities that you should be wary of. Analyze the situation and determine when it’s best to use your Blade Whirl as it has a long cooldown.

Wild Rift Samira Blade Whirl

Blade whirl can also be utilized aggressively to quickly obtain the maximum stacks on her passive. Flair and basic attacks cannot be used during Blade Whirl. But, Wild Rush can be used in between two slashes of Blade Whirl, immediately giving her three stacks of her passive. Meanwhile, the duration of Blade whirl will end as soon as you activate her Inferno Trigger.

E | Wild Rush

Samira dashes towards  a target enemy, enemy structure or allies in a fixed distance that deal damage to the enemies on her path upon impact. Samira earns another dash after participating in a champion takedown, allowing her to hop from one enemy to another after assassinating them. This is similar to Fizz’ Urchin Strike, but can be used to hurtle towards her allies.

Wild Rift Samira Wild Rush

That said, Wild Rush can close the gap between Samira and her foes enabling her to unshackle chain of combos to defeat an enemy, and immediately get away from it by dashing towards her teammates. Wild Rush also increases Samira’s attack speed, providing her the capability to land more autoattacks. Do an E-Q combo when blinking to an enemy to leave several explosives on your path.

R | Inferno Trigger

Samira seems to have a unique ultimate ability, different from the rest of the champions. Inferno Trigger has no cooldown, but there is a catch. After chaining non-repeating abilities and combos, she will reach the S grade and will be rewarded of her ultimate. Her ultimate, Inferno Trigger unleashes hail of shots from her weapon dealing massive AOE damage against enemies within the range, each shot can trigger critical strikes. During Inferno Trigger, Samira can move in different direction, which reminds us of Katarina’s Death Lotus. The range of Inferno Trigger may be small, enough for the enemies to stay away from it, but luckily Wild Rush can be used while Inferno Trigger is up.

Wild Rift Samira Inferno Trigger

However, Inferno Trigger can be interrupted with cast-inhibiting abilities such as stun, root and charm. So make sure to cast your ultimate at the best time so as to not waste your ultimate.

Inferno Trigger consumes all of her style stacks, and she will have to stack it up to S once again to deploy it for the second time.

Practice doing quick combos that will ramp up your style grade to S using these. These combos may be difficult at first especially if you are not fond of champions with high mobility.

AA > E > AA > Q > AA > W > R

AA > W1 > E > W2 > AA > Q > AA > R

AA > W1 > E > Q > W2 > AA > R

The use of Blade Whirl in team fights may depend on the situation. Blade Whirl can only be used to amplify your damage and combo, only if there are no hard crowd control abilities available during those times. After all, she is a squishy marksman. Hence, it would be best to save Blade Whirl for abilities that can lead you to your death. Otherwise, it can be used to deal more damage.

Samira Early Game Guide

Win high-stake competitive games as Wild Rift Samira by starting off in an aggressive manner. It is imperative and preferable to pick a tank support alongside Samira to match her playstyle. Despite having a relatively shorter range, Samira shines best in the early game as she can freely dash into opponents and deliver damages from her combos, which can be made possible with a support that can hard engage and dive into skirmishes. With these, Samira and her support can establish dominance and kill pressure, allowing both of you to take control of the lane. During the laning phase, she can utilize the range of her Flair, both the range and melee to poke out enemies and make sure to get away it with her Blade Whirl. When using Flair, do auto > q > auto to maximize its damage. Although Samira may be strong in the early game with an aggressive playstyle, think twice and know your limitations before going for risky situations that may lead you to your death. Getting stomped in the early game does not produce better results as it will be harder to scale into the late game.

Also, do not forget to place wards in the river to avoid getting ganked.

When fighting against champions that may be a lot stronger than you in the early game, it may be best to play passively, farm with Flair and autos, and wait for the right moment to engage. If not, take advantage of the level 2 power spike with your support and attempt for an early kill, only if it is safe to do so.

It is also important to take note of your opponents’ abilities and spells. Bait or wait for their crowd control abilities to go on cooldown first before engaging. This is essential in spite of having Blade Whirl that can nullify abilities, as you can instead use it to increase your damage output.

Before the late game, farm resources that you can take and play around objectives. For teamfights, never engage into skirmishes first especially since you are an important target. Instead, let your support, tank or bruiser dive into them first before joining in the combat. But outside of skirmishes, continue farming until you get your items and become fed enough for the enemies to lose their capability to stop you.

Samira Late Game Guide

At this point, most of the champions have managed to scale already. Opponents may already have their core items equipped. Consequently, a small mistake made by Samira can cost her her own life, by dashing into five enemies alone for an instance. This will be an instant throw and it will be unfavorable for your team to win teamfights without their carry. Instead, make the most out of your mobility by proper positioning. Positioning as Wild Rift Samira may be different from the rest of the traditional marksmen like Caitlyn and Ashe as she wields two weapon and can pivot with her ranged and melee abilities. Samira will have to dive into enemies especially when they are clumped together to maximize Inferno Trigger, provided that the area is free of crowd controls. Wild Rift Samira remains to be a team-reliant champion, so it’s better to play with your team.

Synergies

Wild Rift Samira can snowball her way to winning the laneby pairing her with supports with knock-up abilities that complements with her passive. The aim is to form an effective synergy with her support by executing hard engages and all-ins, and put pressure on her opponents. These things can be possible with a tank support on her side.

Wild Rift Nautilus Icon

Nautilus is a walking source of crowd control. He can root enemies to the ground with his passive, pull enemies towards him knocking them up and stunning them, decaying slow and another knock-up. The Titan of the Depths locks down foes for a living and this earns him a spot on the best supports for Samira. Upon getting immobilized by Nautilus’ abilities, Samira can eventually follow up with her passive or Wild Rush, or knock enemies up for a longer time, again with her passive. Nautilus’ kit supplements Samira’s aggressive playstyle allowing her to further increase her early game strength.

Alistar is a tank support overloaded with crowd controls similar to Nautilus. Samira would not have to worry about getting aggressive as Alistar himself is made for champions like her. He can close the large gap between him and the target enemy in the blink of an eye with Headbutt and knock them up with Pulverize. To further prolong their suffering, Alistar can restrain their movement with a root from Trample. With these, Samira can quickly knock them up again and punish them for it. Laning phase would become bearable as well with Alistar as his passive allows him and his nearest ally to restore a bit of their health.

All Samira Wild Rift Counter Champions

Champions that can counter Wild Rift Samira involves marksmen possessing higher range that they can easily exploit against her or supports with crowd control tools and peeling abilities that can put her down upon engaging.

Samira is at a disadvantage when facing against Jhin. Jhin has relatively longer range and higher damage in the early game. The Virtuoso can land a bullet, a cartridge, and the rest of abilities from time to time, gradually shredding Samira’s health bar. Moreover, Samira may try to engage and dash in with Wild Rush but Jhin can immediately stop her by rooting her with Deadly Flourish.

Basically any support with crowd control abilities can be used against Samira but Braum counters the Desert Rose in several ways. Samira may be able to block Braum’s Winter’s Bite and Glacial Fissure, but not his passive Concussive Blows. It is a no-sweat job for Braum to stun opponents as his allies can contribute a stack of Concussive Blow per basic attack.

One of the best thing in his kit is his ability to hop towards his allies which is crucial in teamfights especially if they are being targeted by opponents. Engaging and aiming for the enemy ADC may become a tough task as you might end up getting stunned or knocked up. Furthermore, Braum can block Samira’s Inferno Trigger by setting up his shield (Unbreakable).

She can also turn into an unstoppable monster that can win a 1v5 if fed enough.

We highly recommend players to use Conqueror or Fleet Footwork, depending on the situation. Conqueror’s the best option for good matchups, as the effects of Conqueror suits well with the Style passive of Samira. These provides stats necessary for Samira to scale better namely, attack damage, critical rate, attack speed and lifesteal.

It is best to maximize and enhance her ultimate as soon as it’s available. Maximize her 1st ability, Flair first as this will further decrease its cooldown and increase the damage per shot or per slash. Next would be her Wild Rush to allow her to dash into opponents and escape by dashing into her allies more often. Blade Whirl should be upgraded last unless there are too many crowd controls that you must avoid in the game.

When should I engage as Samira in Wild Rift?

Samira can dive into opponents at their most vulnerable times; when they are alone or low on health. Samira on the other hand, is not as tanky as the rest of the champions despite having a melee form. On top of it, Samira does not have anything else to use as an escape tool after dashing into enemies. Thus, it would be best to wait for your allies to engage in first before joining skirmishes.
