Zyra Wild Rift Build Recommendation

Here are Item Build Recommendations that works on this champion and which are the best build for Zyra Wild Rift in this patch.

A Thorny Mage

Liandry’s Torment Rylai’s Crystal Scepter Morellonomicon Stasis Enchant Void Staff [This item has been removed from WR] Rabadon’s Deathcap

This item build for Zyra Wild Rift consists of AP and Magic Penetration items, which are all effective and essential to Zyra. Liandry’s Torment further adds hostility to her plants, dealing huge DoT to enemies. Rylai’s Crystal Scepter can further utilize this item, slowing enemies who are hit by her abilities, especially her plants. Morellonomicon makes enemies more vulnerable through its grievous wounds, lessening enemies’ healing. Stasis Enchant is for a bit of survivability when things go out of her way. Void Staff and Rabadon’s Deathcap for more firepower, devastating enemies who are in the way of Zyra.

Wrath of Nature Zyra

Liandry’s Torment Rylai’s Crystal Scepter Morellonomicon Shadows Enchant Void Staff [This item has been removed from WR] Banshee’s Veil [This item has been removed from WR]

This alternative item build for Zyra Wild Rift is for a type of Zyra that can engage with its Shadow Enchant, slowing enemies who are caught by seeking ghosts. Her Grasping Roots can further utilize this enchant, rooting slowed enemies, leaving them vulnerable for her allies to follow up. Banshee’s Veil is for survivability whenever she is in danger, blocking any crowd control ability.

Runes for Zyra in Wild Rift

Glacial Augment is very effective, especially for Zyra. This rune ability can slow enemies hit by Zyra’s abilities, enabling her to engage and initiate a team fight. But remember that she is a squishy champion, so always proceed with caution.

Aery enables Zyra to be a poking machine, as normal attacks and abilities signal Aery to dash to enemies, dealing additional damage in the process.

Cheap Shot is essential when paired with her item build, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter. Having enemies slowed or stunned can activate this ability, dealing additional damage coming from Zyra.

Eyeball Collector can help Zyra build more damage by stacking on enemy takedowns.

Ingenious Hunter further adds more firepower to Zyra from unique champion takedowns.

Scorch is also a valuable rune for Zyra and can be further utilized with Liandry’s Torment, dealing enormous DoT in the long run.

Manaflow Band adds mana to Zyra by hitting enemy champions, enabling her to spam her skills more often before needing to go back to base.

Spells

In our Zyra Wild Rift Guide, here are the best champion spells that you can equip on her.

Wild Rift Flash

Flash is valuable for almost any champion in general. Flashing forward to close the distance can make it much easier to land Deadly Spines and start a trade or all-in. Additionally, Flash can be used to make some really creative and game-changing plays on Zyra.

Ignite is a good summoner spell for Zyra, especially if you are looking to be aggressive and secure kills. However, it is important to note that Ignite is a very aggressive summoner spell, and it can leave you vulnerable if you are not careful. Be sure to use it wisely.

Zyra in Wild Rift can first take Grasping Roots because it is very strong, especially in the early game. A good root can take down almost any enemy. Zyra can then take Rampant Growth to add seeds to the playing field further. Then, take Deadly Spines to add more firepower to Zyra, dealing decent damage whether you use her as support or mid-laner. Last but not least, take and level up her Stranglethorns as much as possible. This ultimate ability is her greatest ability that should be utilized in team fights, whether as support or mid-laner.

Abilities

Infernal Chains

Seeds spawn around Zyra periodically, becoming faster with level. Zyra can cast Deadly Spines or Grasping Roots near seeds to grow plants that fight for Zyra.

Additionally, Enemy champions deal 40% ability damage to Thorn Spitters.

Infernal Chains

Thick vines spread through the ground and explode into spines, dealing magic damage to enemies within the area. Deadly Spines grows a Thorn Spitter plant, which fires at enemies from afar if cast near a seed.

Infernal Chains

Zyra plants a seed, lasting up to 60 seconds. Deadly Spines and Grasping Roots cast near seeds will turn them into plants that fight for Zyra. Zyra can store multiple seeds simultaneously, and killing enemies reduces Rampant Growth’s recharge time.

Infernal Chains

Zyra sends forth vines through the ground to ensnare her target, dealing damage and rooting enemies they come across. If cast near a seed, Grasping Roots grows a Vine Lasher, whose short-range attacks reduce enemy Move Speed.

Infernal Chains

Zyra summons a twisted thicket at her target location, damaging enemies as it expands and knocking them airborne as it contracts. Plants within the thicket are enraged.

Abilities Analysis

Innate Passive | Garden of Thorns

Zyra will periodically spawn a seed or two nearby her, becoming faster as she levels up. This passive can be relatively more beneficial if the randomly placed seed is in a good position, catching enemies off guard. It is similar to how her Rampant Growth acts; the only difference is it is random, so being lucky is somewhat needed when playing her. Additionally, enemies can only break the seed just by stepping on it; activating the seed while the enemy is going to step on it is a good surprise that can also leave them off guard.

Zyra Passive Wild Rift

Q | Deadly Spines

Zyra will spawn thorny spines that can activate seeds when cast near it while also dealing decent magic damage. Zyra can combine this ability with her Grasping Roots to make it more effective.

Zyra Q Wild Rift

W | Rampant Growth

Zyra spawns a seed at a target location that can be activated by using Deadly Spines or Grasping Roots, spawning a plant that attacks enemies that are in range. Zyra can also reveal enemies in brushes if they stepped on it, also making it a decent info-gathering ability.

Zyra W Wild Rift

E | Grasping Roots

Zyra will spawn moving spines straight from her position, which roots enemies who are hit by this ability. Also, remember that it activates any seed near the skill’s location, making it a good engage or when chasing an enemy. Additionally, combining it with her ultimate can leave enemies no room for escape as this chain-CC ability will devastate any enemy who is caught by it.

Zyra E Wild Rift

R | Stranglethorns

Zyra summons a huge circular Area of Effect ability that deals magic damage to enemies as it expands, which can also knock up enemies who are caught by it if they stay on the AoE after 2 seconds of casting. Stranglethorn is a great ability especially for team fights, as it takes up huge space, which can take an entire team airborne if utilized effectively. Combining it with Grasping Roots can land Strangelthorn at a high chance, as enemies’ movement is very limited.

Zyra Early Game Guide

Zyra’s early game is very strong, and she can use her plants to zone the enemy laners and poke them down. Whether as a support or mid-lane mage, Zyra can make the early game of her marksman or herself easier, which can transition to good mid to late game. Also, don’t be afraid to use Zyra’s ultimate in the early game, as some players conserve its usage to the last moment.

Zyra Late Game Guide

Transitioning to the late game is one of Zyra’s challenges; being behind in the early game can lessen Zyra ‘s damage throughout the game. So, be sure to play the early game carefully. Prioritize building items that give you damage and survivability. Zyra is a damage-dealing champion, so it is important to build items that will increase her damage output. However, it is also important to build items that will give her some survivability, so that she can stay alive in team fights. Use your ultimate to initiate team fights or catch enemies out of position in the late game. Zyra’s ultimate is a very powerful ability that can be used to turn around team fights or secure kills.

Synergies

For our Zyra Wild Rift Guide, we highly recommend using her with the following champions as they synergize well with her.

Ashe fits with Zyra, as she is a Poke champion like her. They can harass the enemy dragon lane, snowballing through the game eventually.

Ezreal is also a good fit for Zyra, mainly because he is also a Poke champion. Ezreal can damage enemies without having to commit a fight, like Zyra. However, they can also commit to it, given that they have an advantage going into the fight.
