New Events and Gamemodes for Wild Rift Patch 5.1

Wild Rift Patch 5.1 has revealed that the Black mists of the shadow isles will come to the summoner’s rift. This shadowy fog will engulf the map, through the lanes and jungle camps, to both bases of each side. However, it is not just the ambiance because items will be categorized as Radiant and Shadow, having different effects on each one. That’s not all, as there is also a new wave-defense game mode that features pre-ruination Kalista.

Radiant and Shadow Items

Items in Wild Rift Patch 5.1 will introduce Radiant and Shadow items. Radiant items will focus on protection and utility, perfect for support or tank champions. On the other hand, Shadow items introduce a high-risk, high-reward system, such as the Infinity Edge. Additionally, both item categories will affect all game modes in Wild Rift, so keep that in mind.

Final Stand, the New Gamemode in Wild Rift Patch 5.1

Champion Reworks for Wild Rift Patch 5.1

The latest Wild Rift Patch has revealed a handful of champion reworks that aim to adjust them to fit the current meta. Miss Fortune, Riven, Jax, and Master Yi are the ones receiving them, so keep an eye on these champs if you want to use or encounter them in your upcoming games.

Miss Fortune

She will be getting a new passive in this Wild Rift Patch. This passive will help by making it easier to double-tap enemies. It will now pose stacks on her targets while she’s dealing damage to them. Additionally, this passive will deal bonus damage with her abilities and basic attacks as it stacks up.

Riven

Playing Riven pushes players into high-risk, high-reward scenarios, where they’ve got to be mechanically good to succeed in the baron lane. As a result, they’ve extended Riven’s ultimate upon killing an enemy in this Wild Rift Patch, to make every elimination worth it.

Jax

Another champion that receives a buff on their ultimate is Jax. His ultimate will now deal area of effect (AoE) damage at the cast. Additionally, Jax will gain armor and magic resistance based on the number of enemies hit, making him even more lethal.

Master Yi

This Wild Rift Patch has brought changes to Master Yi as well. Players can now combine Yi’s second ability, Meditate with attacks. This change enables Master Yi to do a normal attack, meditate, and normal attack again with such great speed.

New Gamemode and Event for Wild Rift Patch 5.0

Wild Rift Patch 5.0 has revealed a URF hybrid game mode called Double Cast. It enables champions to cast their abilities twice, doubling the fun for anyone who plays this game mode. But that’s not all; champions who primarily deal damage with their auto attacks will not be left behind, as shown in the preview. After several attacks, their next auto will count as a double hit, applying all of the effects of the next normal attack twice.

In the latest Wild Rift Patch, there’s also a new event releasing soon. Lunar New Year is just around the corner, so buckle up for some new Wild Rift content soon. This event rewards players with tons of Dragon Lantern skins and more, so keep your red envelopes ready.

Champion Reworks for Wild Rift Patch 5.0

Wild Rift Patch 5.0 has revealed new sets of champion reworks. Aurelion Sol, Gragas, Yuumi, and Wukong are the ones who are getting an overhaul. These reworks focus on smoother gameplay and adjustments to fit the meta.

Aurelion Sol

The rework on Aurelion Sol is similar to the LoL PC. Thanks to his new passive, this champion will now be able to scale to the late game better. Aurelion Sol will now have a larger area of effect skills as the game progresses, like the star destroyer he’s meant to be.

Gragas

Gragas’s rework focuses on smoother animations in his gameplay. This champion might look rough on the outside, but after this overhaul, he’ll eliminate champions as smooth as the ale he’s drinking.

Gragas Rework

Yuumi

Wild Rift Patch 5.0 has also tweaked Yuumi’s abilities, improving the consistency of her supporting capabilities. The patch also emphasizes how Yuumi supports her allies, alone or with an ally.

Yuumi Rework

Wukong

Wukong’s rework focuses on survivability and the effectiveness of his clones. His clones will now be able to mirror Wukong’s abilities to overwhelm his opponents. In addition, he can now tank a bit more damage to stay in the lane longer.

Wukong

New Gameplay Changes in Wild Rift 5.0

Wild Rift Patch 5.0 will have changes to minions, the Rift Herald, and new items. These changes will also bring a new tempo to your games while also improving the overall experience of your games, so watch out for this patch.

Siege Minion Changes

This Wild Rift patch has changed the effectiveness of ganking other lanes. New, slightly weaker minions will now replace siege minions. This change will enable roaming champions to visit other lanes freely without the worry of getting pushed by the help of siege minions.

Siege Minions changes

Rift Herald

Activating Rift Herald has also had problems, such as attacking the closest minions instead of the turret itself. But now, the new Wild Rift Patch has changed that, and it will target the nearest turret first while also indicating which lane it will be attacking in the mini-map.

New Items in Wild Rift Patch 5.0

Top-lane champions will be glad to play on this new Wild Rift Patch, as new items are in store. Heartsteel, a health-stacking item, can now enable tank top champions to flourish into the late game. Titanic Hydra and Spear of Shojin are also coming, so watch out for Jax players in the upcoming patch.

Wild Rift Ranks and Leaderboards

Wild Rift offers an exciting and competitive environment for players to showcase their skills, such as the Wild Rift ranks. One of the critical aspects of Wild Rift is its ranking system, which allows players to progress and compete against others of similar skill levels. However, when you are a solo queue player just starting Wild Rift, you may wonder what the Wild Rift ranks are. So, in this article, we’ll tackle each rank division, also discussing what types of players are in these ranks.

What Are Wild Rift Ranks?

Wild Rift Ranks are designed to provide a fair and balanced gameplay experience for all players. Each rank, except for Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger, is divided into four divisions: IV, III, II, and I, in ascending order. To rank up, players need to earn ranked marks by winning ranked mode games. Once they have enough ranked marks, they must complete a promotion series to advance to the subsequent division or tier.

Wild Rift Bronze Rank

All Wild Rift Ranks

In Wild Rift ranked mode, there are currently 11 ranks:

  • Iron
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Emerald
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grandmaster
  • Challenger
  • Sovereign

You can access Ranked from level 10 and no minimum champion is required.

Iron, the Lowest of Wild Rift Ranks

Lowest Wild Rift Ranks Iron

Iron is the lowest of the Wild Rift ranks, where new players start. These players are typically still learning the basics of the game, such as laning, team fighting, and objective control. Additionally, players in this elo, especially in the solo queue, should start learning to communicate effectively with their teammates.

Bronze Rank

Wild Rift Ranks Bronze

Bronze players have a better understanding of the game mechanics than Iron players, but they may still need help applying them consistently in matches. These players often make mistakes such as overextending, not warding enough, and not communicating with their team.

Silver Rank

Wild Rift Ranks Silver

Silver players have a good understanding of the game mechanics and can typically apply them consistently in matches. However, they may still need to correct some things, such as incorrect positioning or not drafting the best team composition. Moreover, Silver has a more refined design than Iron and Bronze regarding ranks icon.

Gold Rank

Wild Rift Ranks Gold

Gold players are good players with a deeper understanding of the game mechanics than the lower WR ranks. However, they may still need to correct mistakes, such as not playing aggressively or adapting to the enemy team’s strategy. Moreover, this rank in LoL Wild Rift is where most players are playing, making it difficult for players in this rank to climb.

Platinum Rank

WR Ranks Platinum

Platinum players are excellent players who can consistently win matches at a high level. They can make quick decisions and react quickly to changes in the game. Platinum players can adapt to the enemy team’s strategy and exploit their weaknesses.

Emerald Rank

WR Ranks Emerald

Emerald players are the top 0.5% of players in Wild Rift. They are incredibly great at playing WR and have a deeper understanding of the game than its lower WR ranks. Emerald players can consistently win matches against even the most challenging opponents, but they still need to improve.

Diamond Rank

Wild Rift Ranks Diamond

Diamond players are the top 0.2% of players in Wild Rift. They are the most skilled players in the game and can win matches against even the best opponents consistently. One thing to get to higher Wild Rift ranks in this elo is to watch professionals play.

Master Rank

WR Ranks Master

Master players are the top 0.01% of players in Wild Rift. They are the best players and can win matches against any opponent. It is also where players start to show an elite understanding of the game mechanics and can apply them consistently in matches at a very high level.

Grandmaster Rank

WR Ranks Grandmaster

Grandmaster players are the top 50 players in each region. They are the most elite players in the game and are able to win matches against any opponent. However, to reach Grandmaster, you need to earn enough Ranked Marks. Ranked Marks are awarded for winning ranked matches and are deducted for losing ranked matches.

Challenger Rank

Wild Rift Ranks Challenger

Challenger players are at the top in each region but still below the Sovereign Rank. They are also the absolute best players in Wild Rift and can win matches against any opponent. Players can reach the Challenger rank by earning enough Victory Points. These are awarded for winning ranked matches and are deducted for losing ranked matches. Players must maintain several Victory Points to stay in the Challenger rank.

Sovereign, the Highest Among Wild Rift Ranks

Highest Wild Rift Ranks Sovereign

Sovereign is the highest rank in Wild Rift, above Challenger. It was added in Season 10 to provide a more challenging goal for the top players in the game. To reach Sovereign, players must earn 100 Ranked Marks in Challenger. Once they reach Sovereign, their Ranked Marks will continue to increase, and they will compete on a regional leaderboard that resets once daily.

In conclusion, Wild Rift ranks are pivotal in determining a player’s skill level and standing within the game’s community. As players progress through the ranks, they unlock various rewards and earn recognition for their achievements. However, apart from this rank system, there is the Legendary Rank, the highest and above the Wild Rift ranks. Check out this Wild Rift Legendary Rank article for more information about its system and more.

News about Wild Rift Consoles and Release date

Wild Rift has come a long way in terms of success in mobile games, especially in the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre. However, with its success, players still ask for news about Wild Rift consoles, as gaming on consoles has skyrocketed to new heights in market size. Additionally, although there are MOBA games that compete with Wild Rift, such as Pokémon Unite (which is already available on Switch) and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Wild Rift stays relevant.

Moreover, Riot Games states that Wild Rift will be coming soon to consoles with revamped controls and streamlined matches. That said, Wild Rift Consoles can introduce a new experience in terms of its gameplay, especially when using a controller. It can help players who have consoles to have a breath of fresh air as Wild Rift releases on consoles. So, if you’re excited, let’s tackle the latest news about Wild Rift consoles and release dates.

What is the release date of Wild Rift Consoles?

Riot Games has confirmed that the game is developing for consoles, but there is no official release date or announcement of which consoles it will be available on. It can be seen on their Wild Rift official website stating, “COMING SOON TO CONSOLES.”  Additionally, there are likely platforms that Wild Rift could be available on, including Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the game is already optimized for touch-based devices, so a Nintendo Switch version is also particularly likely.

Wild Rift Consoles coming soon

Moreover, it is more evident that Wild Rift will likely be released on Switch, as having a hand-held console offers players comfort, like Pokemon Unite. Playing with a controller can improve their gaming experience relative to playing on a touch-based device like a mobile phone. Additionally, players with sweaty hands can also play better with a controller and better system specs. It can boost Wild Rift further into the market, potentially growing a more extensive player base like never before.

Riot Games and Xbox Partnership and WR Rewards

Riot Games’ partnership with Xbox has also made the release of Wild Rift consoles more likely, especially on the Xbox platform. They announced a collaboration in June 2022 to bring Riot’s most significant games to the subscription service. This partnership brought together two of the largest gaming companies in the world around player-focused competitive games. It also got rewards for players who did avail of Xbox Game Pass. It includes the unlocking of all champions and an experience boost on the League of Legends PC and Wild Rift.

However, to unlock the Wild Rift benefits, players must link their Riot account to their Xbox profile. After linking their Riot accounts, they will automatically receive their benefits when they log into any of Riot’s games. In addition, the rewards do not include a free Wild Pass, so keep that in mind. Moreover, the Riot Games and Xbox Game Pass partnership has been a massive success for both companies. It has allowed Riot to reach a new audience of players on Xbox. It also has given Xbox Game Pass subscribers access to some of the most popular games in the world.

That is all the news about the release date of Wild Rift consoles, such as on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Its release on the said consoles will give a breath of fresh air to players, especially those who have difficulty playing on touchscreen devices. That said, some players may wonder if playing Wild Rift on a controller is possible. In short, it is possible; you must follow our guide about Wild Rift’s controller support to try playing with a controller.

When you have been playing Wild Rift for so long, your IGN might become dull due to trends, to match with your new main champion, or you just want something new. Eventually, you will plan to change it because of this. However, due to the limited knowledge and information about the Wild Rift change name, one might wonder how to change name in Wild Rift. Well, you’re in luck, as we will tackle the steps and some additional fun information in the end.

How Do I Find My Riot ID?

Finding Riot ID

Finding your Riot ID before your Wild Rift change name is also essential. Your Riot ID is your global username across all Riot Games titles. If you change your Riot ID in Wild Rift, it will also be altered in League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and any other Riot Games titles you play.

Here are the steps for finding your Riot ID in-game.

  • Launch Wild Rift
  • Click your profile at the top left-hand of the home screen.
  • You can see your Riot ID at the top left-hand, above your profile icon in your Wild Rift profile.
Wild Rift Profile

However, you can also find your Riot ID without opening Wild Rift. Players can view their Riot IDs just by logging into the Riot Games’ website, where you can manage your Riot Account. Also, let’s move on to the steps if you are still unsure and confused about how to change IGN in Wild Rift.

How to Change Name in Wild Rift?

Wild Rift Settings when changing name

The steps on Wild Rift change name can be confusing, especially when you do it only on your mobile phone. However, these steps are pretty simple, and you will have your IGN changed if you follow each single one of them.

Before you change your IGN in Wild Rift, you must choose carefully, as players can only change their name once a month. However, due to League of Legends summoner names swapping into Riot IDs, IGN changes’ frequency may soon differ.

Moreover, here are the steps on how to change IGN in Wild Rift.

  • At Wild Rift’s Settings, hover into the “Other” section.
  • While at the “Other” section, click or press on the “Account Settings.”
  • Then, log in to your Riot Account.
  • After logging in, you may change your IGN in Wild Rift through the Riot ID section according to your liking.
Riot Account Management on Wild Rift change name

However, players must still abide by the rules regarding changing Riot IDs. So, please select and decide on a fair name so that Riot Games will not take it down. Moreover, if you haven’t noticed by now, it is also worth noting that Riot ID and Wild Rift names are the same. By changing your Riot ID in the Account Management section, you can change your IGN across all Riot Games titles, such as Valorant, League of Legends PC, and Wild Rift.

Does Wild Rift Change Name Cost Money?

As mentioned earlier, the Wild Rift change name is free and will only cost players time. It means that players can change their IGN every 30 days for now. However, we did say “for now” because Riot Games is changing its rules regarding summoner names. To give context, Riot Games is transitioning Summoner Names to Riot IDs, originally costing players either an in-game currency or RP (real money). This change is further explained on their website. Additionally, this change will take effect starting November 20, 2023, so change your IGN ASAP if you plan to change it.

That’s the end of our Wild Rift change name tutorial. Head to Summoner’s Rift and show off your new IGN with friends and opponents. However, you can look at our controller guide if you’re having difficulties playing on mobile, especially with sweaty hands. In this guide, we tackle each step and method of connecting a controller or gamepad to use in Wild Rift.

Wild Rift exclusive skins are a great way to show off your love for the game and to stand out from other players. They changed her gun with a high-tech energy weapon, and her abilities also had a futuristic makeover. Moreover, players can obtain this Epic skin by 990 Wild Cores in the store.

Although these skins are not available on PC yet, Riot Games has planned and already ported some Wild Rift exclusive skins to the League of Legends PC, including Star Guardian Senna, Orianna, and Seraphine. With that said, if you already have some of these skins but don’t know how to build them, you must check our collection of Wild Rift champions guide.

New Gamemode and Anniversary Event for Wild Rift Patch 4.4

In the latest patch, the developers listen to players’ requests as they release the much-awaited Arena game mode. This new game mode features an arena combat style where you and your friend fight against three other teams. There will also be no minions or towers, so there will only be furious battles between the four teams. Moreover, power-ups and boosters will also be in play to spice up this tournament-style arena.

Wild Rift Arena Mode

This patch has also teased players for their upcoming third-anniversary event. However, there hasn’t been any clue as to what the event will officially be, making it a surprise for players. So, watch out for any updates soon.

Champion Reworks for Wild Rift Patch 4.4

In Wild Rift Patch 4.4, Sona will be one of the champions getting a rework. Until this patch, Sona has a low pick and win rate relative to her peer supports. So, in patch 4.4, she will have more playmaking ability. Moreover, Ziggs is also having a rework in this patch, improving the quality of life regarding gameplay.

Sona

Sona’s passive and ultimate ability will be having a change in this patch. Her passive will change to stun when doing a normal attack after three ability casts instead of only having additional damage. Sona’s ultimate will no longer be a quick single-wave crowd control. Rather, it will be an AoE crowd control that moves and lasts for a few seconds.

Wild Rift Sona rework

Ziggs

In Wild Rift 4.4, Ziggs will also have a rework. As a champion who relies primarily on skill shots, an increase in aim assistance is quite beneficial. Additionally, Ziggs passive will also have a rework, now targeting turrets.

New Gameplay Changes in Wild Rift 4.4

Wild Rift Patch 4.4 will have changes to the Spell animations, Mages’ base stats, and brand-new items. The whole change is greatly influenced by how mages are greatly out scaled. Additional Dragon buffs will also come into the patch with a new cute companion and more.

Mages’ Base Stats Change

Mages in previous Wild Rift patches were difficult to play because of their scaling issues. So, in this patch, Mages have increased base stats, allowing them to skirmish in the lane better.

Snappy Spell Animations

In Wild Rift Version 4.4, spell animations or skill casts will now be more snappy and easy to land. Your favorite combos will now become even more fluid while also helping your skill shots make it easier to land.

New Items in Wild Rift Patch 4.4

WR patch 4.4 will also add more items to the Mages’ role, having new possibilities for building champions. Oceanid’s Trident, one of the latest featured items, is similar to Serpent Fang, which slows enemies while also reducing their shield.

Additional Dragon Buffs

New Tank Items and Item Reworks for Wild Rift Patch 4.1

For the new Patch 4.1, three new tank items are set to arrive which may probably cause a great shift to the current meta.

Wild Rift Patch 4.1 New Items
  • Amaranth Twin Guard: This item provides stacks of endurance when you’re up against enemy champions. Gaining full stack grants size, armor, tenacity and magic resist, which will end after leaving combat.
  • Mantle of the Twelfth Hour: After dropping HP and reaching the threshold, the wielder heals himself based on bonus health. Slow resistance and movement speed are also given during its uptime.
  • Searing Crown: Attacks or abilities applied inflict burn to the enemies based on max health. To top it off, Searing Crown works well with Sunfire Cape.

Aside from these three, we’re also getting new Item reworks in hopes of making it more viable this time around. Be sure to try them out as soon as it’s out.
